The hotel and surroundings are well-landscaped and most importantly, everything was clean and well maintained. Hotel staff were always friendly and provided good service. Amenities provided in the room was adequate e.g. free wi-fi was a pleasant bonus. Hotel facilities may be a little lacking, but this could be because there are only 18 villas and it likely doesn't make business sense to offer an abundance of activities. Being so close to the ocean was fantastic although there is no proper beach in front of the hotel, so swimming and relaxing in the sun can only be in the swimming pool. Overall, we've definitely enjoyed our stay at Nirwana and would return if the opportunity arises. Thank you!

It was a very nice hotel, with very nice and friendly staff ! We liked the breakfast.
The laundry was very clean, but there was one blouse it was broken, they should tell me.
we would go there again.

I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at Nirwana Resort and spa, I didn’t ever imagine it to be so beautiful, it was a perfect location. When I first booked I was given an ocean view room but due to some issue with bookings about a week prior to my holiday I was asked if I would be satisfied with a garden room, I was generously compensated for this change. The one area that could be improved is the menu at the restaurant there wasn’t a huge choice for lunch and if sitting by the pool you don’t necessary want to leave to go elsewhere for a bite to eat.Overall though I couldn’t fault my stay and would certainly choose to visit Candidasa again and stay at Nirwana.

The resort maybe situated a few kilometers from candi dasa town, however the immediate hotel environment and setting is beautiful. A hotel shuttle will take you into town if you would like to eat at a variety of restaurants or shop. The town is quite small. The only complaint I would have is the high prices of the onsite restaurant. The service was very good as was the physical environment of the restaurant itself, however the standard of the food was ordinary given the price that we paid. Having said that, breakfast was great and the hotel tariff itself was very reasonable for thesuperior standard of rooms available. The pool area faces the beach and is divine for swimming, relaxing and watching the sunset. Bungalows facing the pool maybe more expensive however they are in a great position. The other available rooms are very good as well. Great place to chillax for 4-5 days while in Bali. I would definitely stay there again.

We found the newly refurbished hotel beautiful. The restaurant had really high quality food, well presented and the service very good. We had an ocean front bungalow which was well presented and excellent facilities

We will stay there again. Have stayed at Rama next-door and we prefer Nirwana. The staff are the most friendly and obliging we have found in Bali and we have stayed at more than 12 resorts in Bali.

I have been to Bali 9 times over the last 30 years and would have to this was the NICEST place I have stayed!
The staff were fantastic that goes along with the the experience of the hotel settings and service.
As a place to stay for the price I would find it hard to match it. I am glad I booked this over the internet and it was the first time I have ever done it.
Overall and I will repeat myself. The staff were of top class! Well done to them.

" Dear Mr Eberhardus,
Thank you for a very enjoyable stay and your efforts. You and your staff were most helpful, and resort is very well designed and on whole well run.
The front counter staff do a really good job. The WiFi was very helpful.
As discussed here are some constructive points about Nirwana, in no particular order:
Room:
1. Aircon controls hard to get to as the unit is too high
2. Safe does not reliably open - sometimes it took 5-6 attempts
3. Safe is too low
4. Need more towel rails
5. Need shower robes and hooks for them
6. Lighting is inadequate for reading in bed - get adjustable neck lamps
7. Require more double adapters for power - say 2 per room for things like mobile phone chargers and computers
8. The floor is being wiped with some sort of oily finish - not so nice to walk on.
9. Satellite TV - get BBC and Australian TV. The German channel has distorted sound.
Restaurant:
1. Service can be a bit chaotic with dishes & drinks arriving in strange order and being asked the same question by different people.
2. Breakfast variety and presentation can be improved. For example more tropical fruit like mangosteens and rambutans.
3. Dinner quality, variety and presentation not as good as the best in Candi Dasa such as Alila, Watergarden or Vincents. Worth improving as the location and setting is so good.
4. Drink choice was limited e.g. no pina colada
Massage:
1. Seems too expensive
2. The ladies doing it did not seems to understand or follow instructions like "harder" or "softer" or adjust their massage to where they were being directed.
Gym:
1. I suggest you convert some of the massage area into a nice litle airconditioned gym.
