We enjoyed the stay very much, the location is the best asset you have and maybe the rooms need an update but we found the Besakih very enjoyable and will stay there again.

Whenever I stay in Sanur I stay in Besakih. The rooms are nothing spectacular (just neat and tidy with a very comfy bed), but the location, the gardens, the pool and the staff make it a great place to stay.

Our room was a bit ordinary, with a view of the cottage rooftops. Other rooms had large balconies, and the cottages looked very nice. The grounds and restaurant were very nice, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

We did not like the Besakih at all and moved as soon as we could (the next day). Hotel was poorly kept, very bad service (restaurant staff were bordering on rude), terrible mouldy room, decrepit bathroom etc. Located in a prime position but we would never go there again. We moved to the Gazebo, a few doors down, which was far superior in every way.
