I have travelled in many countries around the world, and till now I still favour small hotels. And I must admit the services by all the Mentari Sanur staff were excellent and extremely helpful. They really make you feel comfortable and make your stay enjoyable. The room was fantastic, spacious and big.

We booked online for 2 days, but due to excessive rain decided to move on after one day, they wanted us to pay for the second day as well, but due to manager intervention we paid for only one in the end..a bit strange!? Location is a bit far off from main strip so to say.

Great place to stay, really clean and airy rooms, the pool was a nice addition too. the only thing is that the hotel is on quite out of the way from the main stretch of restaurants etc so would suite people wishing to get away from it all. The beach at Sanur isnt too good too.

As you know, I had problem in checking-in on the night of my arrival; although I had booked the room as far back as May 2007, I was told at the time of checking-in that there was no room available. Also the room promised at the time of reservation was supposed to overlook garden; but actually the room I was given overlooked the next house's roof!!! After complaining, I was given a better room for one night. In effect I should be given some discount for this, but I was not given that. I hope you will arrange for some sort of compensation for this. In view of the above, I am not inclined to recommend Bali Hotels to any of my friends/relatives who come to Bali every year from the U.K.

We were only here for one night but the extremely friendly staff really added to our stay. The hotel rooms looked a little tired & outdated but were clean and the grounds were well kept.

The massive bed was great, but the restaurant closed early and we couldn't get room service. The pool was dirty and was to be fixed but after 2 days we finally booked out of the hotel because we only had a week for holidays and wanted to use the pool.
