Bakung Beach Cottages are amazing value for money and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Whilst not located right on the beach, transport is so cheap and readily available that this is not a problem and the hotel also has a fabulous pool. Excellent value.

This was really very good value for money with a good breakfast included. The downside were the mattresses which are very old and past their use by date. Other than that it was a great, friendly little place.

The price for this hotel is very reasonable. The staffs are friendly and helpful. We reached at night, and they still served us a welcoming drink. The pool is nice. The location was good.

The hotel was good value at U.S $ 21 but I would have been reticent to pay the price asked at the reception.
I also think that pay T.V would be good this was featured in many Indonesian hotels I stayed at.
or perhaps a D.V.D
It was good to have a bar fridge and the hotel gardens are beautiful

"For a budget hotel, Bakung's is very good - acceptable accommodation and good location. Mattresses getting a bit tired, and no proper shower (only handheld) were the only issues, but all in all, perfectly fine...."

Mixed review; as the hotel grounds & pool area and staff were fantastic but the room itself was very poor, our shower barely worked and there was mould which smelt real bad. (No other rooms were available). but; for $21 dollars a night what do you expect !
